Match Highlights: Nigeria vs Sudan Afcon 2022

NIGERIAN Super Eagles cruised into the Round of 16 of AFCON 2022 after a convincing victory over Sudan at the Stade Roumdé Adjia in Garoua, Cameroon.

As expected, the Super Eagles were in control of the game from the off and it wasn’t so long before they took over the lead through Samuel Chukwueze in the 3^rd minute, Taiwo Awoniyi doubled the advantage at the stroke of half-time in the 45^th minute.

The game restarted with the Super Eagles on rampage immediately with Moses Simon scoring a lone-run superb goal in the 1^st minute of the second half.

Walieldin Khidir gave Sudan a consolation from the penalty spot after Ola Aina was adjudged to have fouled Mustafa Mohammed in the area, but it was already job done for Nigeria who match on to the knockout stage with a game in hand against Guinea-Bissau on January 19, 2022.
